Personal Data & Identifiers

We do not collect, store, or share any personal identity information (such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, or accounts) or any of your personal music listening history.

2. Device Permissions Required

To provide offline playback, background services, and timeline controls, GMCPlayer requests the following permissions:

Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to scan the device storage to locate, catalog, and play local audio files. None of your music files or directories are transmitted off the device.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to display active playback control panels (play, pause, skip, seek slider, and track metadata) in the notification bar and lock screen.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Ensures that audio playback continues uninterrupted when you lock the screen or put the app in the background.
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): Prevents the Android system's deep-sleep states from interrupting audio playback or media scanning.
